In 2019, the Park Hill Community Alliance for Youth (CAFY) Coalition was awarded a Drug Free Communities (DFC) Grant. This grant is administered by the Office of National Drug Control Policy and overseen by the Center's For Disease Control (CDC). CAFY joins more than 700 other community coalitions working to reduce youth substance use. This funding empowers local community coalitions like CAFY to work toward addressing the seven strategies for community change with a focus on changing environmental risks that impact our youth.
1 in 5 Americans lived in a community that was funded by the DFC!
Coalitions use a variety of prevention strategies to lower rates of youth substance use!
